Our Grade 10 visitors from Escola SESC in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, have been exploring Idaho with their classmates from Riverstone. Last Friday, both the Brazilian students and our Grade 10 international students went to visit Idaho City. They then continued on to to see how the Grade 7 students were doing making igloos (check the previous blog entry for more on the igloos). They had great fun as some of the students from Brazil had never seen snow before!

On Monday, the entire Grade 10 class and the Brazilian students traveled to Celebration Park along the Snake River, Idaho’s only archeological park. They were given a guided tour of the park and checked out the Paiute Indian rock art dating to 12,000 years ago. They were also provided with an interesting lecture about the origins of settlement in the area and then braved the blizzard conditions to get a scenic view of Snake River from the lookout.
