Parent Ambassador Program
What is the RIS Parent Ambassador Program?
The RIS Parent Ambassador program is a word-of-mouth initiative designed to boost enrollment at Riverstone International School by leveraging the influence of parents within the community. This program encourages parents to connect with local businesses and families, support school events, and foster meaningful relationships that strengthen the school's ties to the broader community. By serving as advocates and building connections, Parent Ambassadors play a crucial role in promoting RIS and enhancing its presence and reputation in the local area.
What is the purpose of the RIS Parent Ambassador Program?
The purpose of the RIS Parent Ambassador Program is to equip, support, and appreciate the invaluable efforts parents make to strengthen enrollment at Riverstone International School.
- With word-of-mouth referrals driving the majority of private school applicants, this program is designed to train and empower Parent Ambassadors to build a robust network of prospective students for RIS.
- The connections formed through this program will help ensure that new families are seamlessly integrated into the RIS community once they enroll.
- Parent Ambassadors play a key role in reinforcing Riverstone's mission by nurturing student growth through meaningful relationships, excellence in education, and active community service.
Parent Ambassadors Commit To:
- Attending one Initial Launch Party meeting in the Fall, approximately 1.5 hours long.
- Participating in regular meetings to touch base, prepare for events, build skills, and address questions.
- Provide direct feedback to the school regarding their experience in interacting with prospective parents
- Attending one end-of-the-year meeting to review the past year and plan for the next.
- Serving as a resource for prospective, newly enrolled, and current families by attending and promoting select events throughout the year including information sessions, expos, and PA events open to the public.
- Being available to connect with prospective families to answer questions about the private school experience, school culture, and more.
- Willingness to attend community events and actively promote Riverstone International School.

The purpose of the RIS Student Ambassador Program is to empower students to take an active role in the growth and success of Riverstone International School. By serving as ambassadors, students will:
- Assist in recruitment and retention efforts by leading tours, participating in outreach, and fostering connections with prospective and current students.
- Act as advocates for promoting RIS, sharing their experiences, and offering a student perspective to enhance the school’s community and culture.
- Provide feedback to faculty and staff on how to improve new student life, ensuring that RIS continues to meet the needs of its student body.
- Foster a sense of belonging among students, alumni, and friends of the school, helping to build a vibrant and inclusive community.
Student Ambassadors Commit To:
- Applying for a select spot in the program and maintaining a high level of commitment throughout the year.
- Attending an initial launch party in the Fall, along with regular meetings to prepare for events, build skills, and discuss strategies.
- Participating in an end-of-the-year meeting to review the year’s successes and plan for the future.
- Leading student-led tours and serving as a resource for prospective and newly enrolled students, answering questions about school life and culture.
- Wearing their ambassador shirts during tours, open houses, and other school events to represent RIS with pride.
- Supporting recruitment and retention efforts by actively engaging in outreach and community-building events.
- Providing feedback to school leadership on how to improve new student life and suggesting ideas to further support and promote RIS.

This program offers alumni the unique opportunity to share their Riverstone experiences with prospective students and their families, providing encouragement and serving as a valuable resource during the college selection process. By participating in the Alumni Board committee, you’ll help give prospective students a glimpse into what makes Riverstone and the Boise community so special, while also contributing to the recruitment and retention of future students.

- Attending an initial virtual launch party in the Fall, along with regular meetings to prepare for events, build skills, and discuss strategies.
- Participating in an end-of-the-year meeting to review the year’s successes and plan for the future.
- Volunteering for and participating and promoting in alumni/special events throughout the year.
- Engaging in fundraising efforts and other activities that support RIS.
- Sharing their Riverstone experiences with prospective students and their families during the recruitment process.
- Serving as a resource for current students, particularly during their college selection journey.
- Being active members of the Alumni Board committee, contributing to the continued success and connectivity of the RIS community.
- Being active members of Riverstone’s AlumniFire community
