Riverstone students in Grades 8 – 11 took the PSATs this past October. Traditionally taken by college bound juniors throughout the United States, Riverstone uses the PSAT as one gauge of our how all of our students are progressing. There are no national averages for students in Grades 8 & 9 so we use Grade 10 national results.
As you can see, the results are stellar! Here are some general observations:
Our Gr 11 students ranked in the 89th percentile for their total average score of 183.
Our Gr 10 students ranked in the 71st percentile as compared to national numbers for Gr 11 students for their total average score of 160 (there is no percentile ranking them against other Gr 10 students).
Riverstone students in Gr 8 & 9 matched or exceeded national averages for college bound students in Gr 10!
The PSAT College Readiness Benchmark identifies scores that a student should meet or exceed to be considered on track for college readiness. One hundred percent (100%) of our Gr 10 & 11 students meet this criteria.
Needless to say, we’re proud of our students!
