For the first time Riverstone International School participated in Idaho Gives with the singular goal of raising funds for student need-based aid. In the four-day campaign we raised $4,770. With these funds we will be able to offer financial relief to four new and returning students.

This amount nearly doubles our previous efforts and goes directly back to families in our community. We hope to keep the tradition of participation alive and be in a position to offer Idaho Gives scholarships every year.

While we award more than $1M in financial aid, after COVID and with inflation, many families must take a hard look at their budgets and make decisions, often difficult decisions. Since more than 25% of our students receive some level of financial assistance, we know that there is a need within our community. This effort also aligns with our mission and values and statement about diversity that we will ensure inclusive practices in our tuition assistance programs and will not discriminate based on socioeconomic status.

We encourage our students to be inclusive, culturally aware citizens. This starts with diversity, representation, and inclusion in our school.

“We want to be sure that those who want to access the Riverstone experience are able to,” Director of Development, Alexis Bennett said. “The leadership team wanted to start the campaign strong and really show up in support of our mission and pillars. That’s why we chose to sponsor the first $1,000 match.”

The 2022 Idaho Gives campaign concluded with nearly $3.7M raised between all Idaho nonprofits. Through this annual campaign, non-profits have the audience and platform to share the stories of their organization and the great work these groups do in our communities every day. We also participated in the fun, capturing photos and video in the process including our “Why Riverstone” video.
