Riverstone Seniors have recently been studying the anatomy of the heart and the cardiac cycle in their Biology class with Mrs. Cole. Students gain the full experience of working in a biological lab by working with laboratory materials and wearing their personalized lab coats.

Last week, these students were able to dissect pig hearts donated by a local butcher, Meats Royale. Dissection allows for a link between structure and function in parts of the heart as well as a memorable learning experience. Check out the photos below of the students dissecting, exploring, and having plenty of scientific fun!
