“Community and Service,” one of Riverstone’s 5 Pillars, was once again brought to life last Thursday during parent-teacher conferences. This year, 153 grades 6 – 12 students arrived at school to make a difference in their community by participating in Riverstone’s “Morning of Service” event.
  • 59 students helped the City of Boise spread mulch in two playgrounds in Owyhee Park as well as prepare every single tree in the park for the cold winter months.
  • 12 students hiked up the Hillside to Hollow Reserve to help remove several sections of boundary fencing for later use around the Ridge to Rivers trail system.
  • 33 students assisted the Idaho Botanical Gardens to prepare the various gardens for the winter months.
  • 49 students stayed on the Riverstone campus to spread mulch in both playgrounds, clean and maintain its various garden spaces, repainted trees, raked leaves, pulled weeds, and more!
We are grateful to our community of parents, grandparents, and friends that volunteer their time to lead these projects while the Riverstone faculty are in conferences. We really could not do this without them.
Altogether, we totaled over 400 hours of service in a single morning!
