We also believe that an education at Riverstone should be accessible to students of all socio-economic backgrounds. Each year, in order to foster diversity, the Board of Trustees allocates funds to financial awards so that we may recruit and retain qualified students, regardless of their families’ ability to pay full tuition.

Investing in education is a choice that all of our families make and our assistance program provides an avenue to attend Riverstone for families who qualify. Any financial awards offered by Riverstone International School are grants, not loans, and do not have to be repaid.

  • In total, about 25% of our students receive assistance and scholarships.
  • Awards for day students range from $1,470 to $17,560 per student.
  • Limited tuition assistance is available for boarding students.
  • There are many factors that influence financial award decisions so we encourage families to inquire about eligibility. Your inquiries, questions, tuition assistance applications, and tuition assistance awards will be confidential.

How to Apply for Tuition Assistance

The Riverstone International School tuition assistance program is designed to make a Riverstone International School education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Riverstone International School is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as Riverstone International School requires you to upload additional tax documentation including your most recent tax year Form 1040 and W-2 Forms.

Clarity hosts several Application Information Webinars for families. All families who plan to apply for Tuition Assistance on Clarity are welcome to attend any of these webinars. A recording will be available to you after each webinar.

Timelines to Apply for Tuition Assistance

The school determines the majority of its financial awards for the upcoming school year prior to April 1, so families should start their admissions and tuition assistance applications early.

Financial awards are re-evaluated annually and current families must apply each year for consideration. Current families should conclude the application process by December 15, 2024.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at [email protected] or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. Day Students Entering Grade 7-9 Only: Malone Family Foundation Scholarships

Riverstone International School was selected by the Malone Family Foundation as the only school in Idaho to fund scholarships for students who show enthusiasm and motivation for academic excellence and whose families demonstrate financial need. The Foundation has established these scholarships for day students entering grades 7–9 to provide an opportunity for students to reap the benefits of attending a private independent school who may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so.

The amount of the scholarship will vary according to the family’s financial need as determined by the financial award process. These scholarships are renewable through graduation and do not need to be repaid.

Boarding Students Entering Grades 8-12 Only: The Riverstone International School Merit Scholarship for Boarding Students
