Kindergarten students, their parents, and teachers all had a wonderful time on their Spring Trip last week. Montour Campground is the perfect spot for an overnight campout!
We began the day by setting up tents, and then began working in our “outside centers” including investigating earthworms, dissecting owl pellets, tie-dying t-shirts, and building a sand house. These activities were all related to our school-year units in one way or another.
Our potluck dinner was yummy, and of course, we finished off the evening with s’mores and awards!
The next morning we hiked the wildlife refuge in the hopes of seeing evidence of wildlife. We spied a few birds and dead fish carcasses, but unfortunately did not find any killdeer eggs this year.
All in all, it was a great Spring Trip!
