Authorizations & Accreditations & Rankings
We encourage parents to confirm our authorizations and accreditations—and to look for proper credentials at any school they may be considering.
All Riverstone staff members participate in our accreditation and authorization evaluations. Many staff members serve as accrediting team members for other schools seeking accreditations and authorizations.
Authorizations
Riverstone International School is Idaho’s first International Baccalaureate World School. We received authorization to offer the Diploma Programme in grades 11–12 in 2004.
Additionally, Riverstone is the only school in Boise—and one of fewer than 40 nationwide—which is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the complete continuum of International Baccalaureate Programmes:
- Diploma Programme (DP for grades 11–12)
- Middle Years Programme (MYP for grades 6–10)
- Primary Years Programme (PYP for preschool–grade 5)
Authorized IB World Schools share a commitment to the International Baccalaureate philosophy, but every school develops its own curriculum.
